Style for the modern woman: introducing a new personal shopping initiative


Style is such an elusive quality. It's one of the first things people notice about you, and one of the hardest to pin down. Ever wondered what it is about an Audrey Hepburn or a Grace Kelly or even a Wednesday Addams? That je ne sais quoi, that spark of inspiration. The difference between you wearing your clothes, and your clothes wearing you. That outward expression of some inward essence.

Style tells a story. It's one of the most consistent ways women have been able to express themselves when other avenues were barred to them. Style is agency. Style is power. And we want to help you find yours.



Frustrated with mainstream online personal shopping subscription services, we realized what was missing: individuality. It's hard to feel truly seen (or satisfied) when you're being shoved into a box labeled "classic" or "edgy" or "bohemian." In celebration of that complexity, we wanted to create a framework for our customers to truly explore their style on their own terms. We're truly excited about this venture, and we hope you will be too. Here's what it looks like (for now):

  1. Personal shopping, emphasis on the personal. If you've ever visited us in Camden, you know how dedicated we are to giving each customer a truly individualized experience with pieces hand-picked for them. Now, we're bringing that experience online. When you take our style quiz on our website, you're having a conversation with us in real time. Rather than making you choose between arbitrary style categories, we allow you to tell us in your own words what you like and what you're looking for.

  2. Your own stylist. Your quiz results will be viewed by one of our full-time staff, who will then contact you via email or phone (your choice) to introduce themselves and assist you with your style needs, whether that's a one-time interaction or a continuing relationship. In our 15 years in business, we've learned that the best way to gauge someone's style is through warm personal rapport. Our staff are knowledgable, respectful, and discreet, and they want to bring that same in-store experience to you wherever you are.

  3. A curated selection from all your favorite brands. No need to worry about subpar quality or pieces that seem a little "off"--our personal shopping collection is culled from what we carry in-store, which means that you get the same level of personal service and great selection that you would get if you came to our location in Camden. If you're looking for a specific piece from a brand that we carry, we are happy to find that for you. Once we've had an initial conversation to touch base, we will send you high-quality pictures and descriptions of the pieces we've selected for you so you can see what they look like on. Then, you have the option to purchase any or all of the items. Our regular return policy still applies, so you'll have 14 days to mail back anything you don't love in exchange for store credit (7 days if the items were purchased in-store).
